432 Player: the 432Hz music player for Android and iPhone
432 Player is a music player app for Android and iPhone that retunes the songs on your phone to 432Hz as they play, without touching the original files. On Android it shifts only the pitch, so the tempo stays exact. First released in April 2013; free on Android with optional Pro, a one-time purchase on iPhone.

Called the first smartphone app made for 432Hz music
432 Player came out on iPhone on 15 April 2013 and on Android on 30 November 2014. A peer-reviewed article in the Journal of Popular Music Studies (2021) calls it the first smartphone app developed for 432Hz music.
Pitch moves, tempo stays
On Android, a dedicated time-stretch engine lowers only the pitch, so a four-minute song still lasts four minutes. Speed-based retuning, which some tools use (and our extension offers as a light option), slows the track by about 1.8%.
Your files stay exactly as they are
Retuning happens live during playback, in 32-bit floating point. Nothing is converted or written back to your library, so switching between 432Hz and 440Hz is instant.
Plays lossless and hi-res files
FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, APE, Opus, M4A, MP3, WavPack, DSD and more play natively on Android. Output runs at 44.1 kHz, with a 48 kHz option in settings.
432Hz beyond the phone speaker
Cast to Chromecast or DLNA speakers and TVs and they receive the retuned sound, not the original. Android Auto is supported in the car.

10-band equalizer
Ten bands from 32Hz to 16kHz with presets (Pro), plus free bass boost and reverb.
Synced lyrics
Lyrics scroll with the song when timed lyrics exist. Free.
Android Auto
Browse and play your 432Hz library from the car screen.

Skins, themes, colours from the album art, a visualizer, widgets, lock-screen controls and a sleep timer.
Radio inside the app
A radio tab with 30,000+ stations, retuned live. Every station and station search are free; free keeps 3 favorite stations and Pro has no limit.

Questions and answers
Yes on Android: 432 Player is free with ads, and 432Hz is included free. Optional Pro removes ads and adds more tunings, the 10-band equalizer and unlimited radio favorites. On iPhone, 432 Player is a one-time purchase with no in-app purchases.
No. On Android, 432 Player shifts only the pitch with a time-stretch engine and leaves the tempo unchanged, so a song keeps its exact length. Your original files are never modified.
On Android, 432 Player plays FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, APE, Opus, OGG, M4A, AAC, MP3, WavPack, DSD and more. The iPhone app plays the songs stored on your device; it cannot play DRM-protected Apple Music downloads.
No, phone streaming apps do not let other apps change their sound. To hear Spotify, YouTube or Apple Music in 432Hz, use the 432Hz browser extension on a computer. On your phone, 432 Player retunes your own music files.
The Android app is free, updated several times a month, and has the full feature set: Pro tunings, the 10-band equalizer, lyrics, Android Auto and casting. The iPhone app is a simpler paid player; its current version, 5.0, came out in April 2023.
A peer-reviewed 2021 article in the Journal of Popular Music Studies calls it the first smartphone app developed for 432Hz music; it came out on iPhone on 15 April 2013. Archived copies of its App Store page from February and May 2014 show it already had listener reviews.
There is no solid scientific evidence that 432Hz is medically better than 440Hz. Many listeners find it warmer and more relaxing, and 432 Player lets you switch between the two to decide for yourself.
