528 Hz and A=444 are the same tuning
They are two names for one thing, taken from different notes. Set the A above middle C to 444 Hz and the C above it lands on 528.01 Hz. Musicians tend to name a tuning by its A; the Solfeggio tradition names this one by its C. Nothing else changes.
The shift from standard pitch is about 16 cents, roughly a sixth of a semitone. It is a gentle lift rather than a transposition. The song stays in its key, and every note moves together.
One practical note: in 432 Player you will see this preset listed as A=444, because the app names tunings by their A. It is the tuning this page is about.

Where 528 Hz comes from
The six Solfeggio frequencies were published in 1999, in a book by Leonard Horowitz and Joseph Puleo, which says Puleo worked the numbers out in the 1970s by applying Pythagorean digit reduction to the verse numbers of Numbers chapter 7. The syllables (Ut, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La) really are medieval, from the hymn "Ut queant laxis". The frequencies are not: medieval chant had no fixed pitch reference at all, and the hertz did not exist as a unit until centuries later.
You will also find pages claiming 528 Hz does things to the body. We do not make those claims and we do not need them. What is true is checkable: the shift is real, it is about 16 cents, every note moves together, nothing is re-encoded, and you can switch back in one tap.
